Every artifact is hand poured in our Ohio apothecary. Standard forging time takes 1 to 5 business days (this may increase slightly during busy holiday seasons). Once entrusted to the postal couriers, transit takes 1 to 8 days.

If you select Priority or Expedited shipping, I will bump your quest to the absolute top of the forging queue! Please note that even expedited artifacts still require a little time to be crafted and properly cured. Once a package leaves my hands, I cannot control courier delays or storms, but your tracking parchment will guide you every step of the way.

Because it wasn’t mass produced in a goblin factory! Every vessel is hand poured by a real alchemist. If you notice slight frosting or a bumpy top after you extinguish the flame. This is the wild, natural behavior of our clean wax blends. It’s a mark of true craftsmanship and won't affect your magical experience or the scent in any way.

The sculptural embeds resting on top of your candle, like the woodland succulents or intricate roses, are forged from the exact same clean burning wax blend as the candle itself! This means they will melt seamlessly into the wax pool as your artifact burns. They are not made from our wax melt formula, which requires a completely different alchemy designed specifically for warmers. You can light your wick with absolute confidence, knowing every single piece of your artifact is crafted to burn perfectly together.

Wax has a memory, much like an ancient spellbook. On your very first burn, you must let the candle stay lit until the melted wax pool reaches the absolute edges of the glass. If you extinguish the flame too soon, it will remember that smaller ring and "tunnel" straight down on future burns, wasting precious magic!

If you accidentally extinguished your flame too soon and your candle has tunneled, do not despair! You can craft a quick piece of "Mithril Armor" (regular aluminum foil). Wrap a strip of foil around the top edge of the glass, folding it slightly over the wax but leaving a hole in the center like a chimney for the wick. Light the flame and let it burn for an hour or two. The foil traps the heat, melting the hard wax ring and resetting the artifact's surface for a perfect burn.

Even the most powerful fire spells require focus. Before every lighting, trim your wick down to 1/4 inch. If you notice a little black "mushroom" shape forming at the tip of the wick between burns, simply snip it off. This keeps the flame steady, prevents dark soot from clouding your beautiful jar, and extends the life of your candle.

Our standard 10oz. artifacts cast a scent spell perfect for medium sized rooms. Think bedrooms, personal studies, or cozy gaming spaces. For cavernous great halls, open concept taverns, or massive living rooms, you may need to deploy more than one vessel to achieve full immersion. Note: Never fear, a larger size is coming to the apothecary very soon.

As a solo alchemist, I rotate our collections with the turning of the seasons. It isn't always possible to keep every magical ingredient stocked year round. However, if you are desperately seeking a retired or out of stock scent, send a quick missive through our contact portal or Instagram! If I still have the necessary oils hidden away in the apothecary, I would be honored to pour a custom batch just for you.

Absolutely! Our artifacts make legendary loot. Simply leave a note in the cart at checkout with your personalized message. Every order is carefully packaged with rustic wrapping and wax seals. If you order multiple gifts for your guild and need to know which is which, just let me know! I will add removable tags so you can easily identify each scent without having to break the magical seals before gifting.

Absolutely. When only a quarter inch of wax remains at the bottom, it is time to retire the flame. Pour hot (not boiling) water into the glass to float the remaining wax to the top. Once it cools and hardens, pop the wax disc out, wash the glass with warm soapy water, and behold! You have a new container for rolling dice, storing potion ingredients, or holding your favorite tavern brew.
